i've been comfortable spending anywhere between $50-175 on a traditional indian dress that i would probably wear 1-3 times before it goes out of fashion (or doesnt fit me anymore), but i refuse to spend more than $40 on a western dress that i would probably wear 10 times a year and more times than i can count before it goes out of fashion.

i haven’t felt like it for a long time (or ever) until ~2 years ago, but i would like to dress pretty when i go out to hang with friends too 🥺

Because you wear them only for special occasions like weddings and stuff so its extra special 😜

i tried giving that a shot but it just felt very off to be renting clothes? i get that it's convenient for people with a low budget, who want to wear pricer things, but i dont want to add to the economy where im essentially being taken advantage of for having a lower budget? :p

This is why there's a growing trend to rent Indian outfits rather than buying and keeping them in your wardrobe forever 🙃

🤔🤔🤔 in my own opinion I feel the western fabrics are built for tougher runs although some are also like not in the present vogue but a higher percentage are built with long span mindset
