nothing like new immigrant imposter syndrome kicking in after seeing a post asking for canadian artist recommendations and seeing zero ppl mention you. also resurfaces childhood insecurities about being invisible in a crowded room, something i've been trying to work on letting go of for the past year.

i knowingly don’t introduce myself as a Canadian despite living here for 1.5 years, and shit like this is exactly why I hesitate. it feels shitty to be so affected by something so blegghhh and letting it ruin any progress I’ve made.

Interesting..After 15 years, I've finally started calling myself “Turkish/American” never just “American” I think this is a part of the immigrant experience, not necessarily a bad thing. Don’t let it hold you back from seizing opportunities available to your geographical location. You deserve to be there!

there are so much fucking facist in crypto it doesnt surprise me. like i said before a16z one of the big investors in this app is run my marc a. and his philosophy on life is pretty crazy! accelerationism and kali yuga (far right kali yuga, way taken out of context)...

🫂 🫂 np matter how much a certain group of people say they are culturally aware and hate to say the word "woke" they still dont realize the damage they cause. colonialism and racism run deep in north america and no matter how much we say we progressed....
