Will actually need to meet with a specialist. Depending on the type and severity of your pain, there can be different treatments. If it's chronic, the most effective way won't be fast.

no simple answer, because "lumbar pain = complex": depends on where it emanates from: disk? SI-joint? Fascia? Sciatia nerve? What helps in most cases is 2-3 hours of walking per day, hanging from a bar, and reading the classic Myofascial Tension Syndrome Book, which was a game changer for me.

If you’re currently in pain, the McKenzie method. If you want to prevent further back injuries and are no longer in pain the McGill method. Have had both recommended by several Doctors of Physiotherapy and can attest to both being amazing.
