Which camera company will be the first to sell a camera that mints every photo as an nft? Solves a lot of ai worries and ip iusses. Basically just verifying the meta data of a photo

I'd like the option to choose, but my wallet won't like auto-mints at least right now hahaha. Or we choose a cheap chain.

Can use zkps to verify image metadata https://medium.com/@boneh/using-zk-proofs-to-fight-disinformation-17e7d57fe52f

Automatically seems like the worst possible thing ever. I definitely don’t want ALL my photos publicly onchain. Optionally and easily, I’m all for.

Solana phone essentially does this as it comes with a native application called Minty which allows you to mint photos directly from your camera!

Immediately thought of the Kodak that never was - the Kodak phone (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/10/kodak-ektra-price-specs-release-date/) x Kodak coin (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/30/technology/kodak-blockchain-bitcoin.html).

Isn’t this what the app Click is addressing? Never tried it myself though. With this app, you can apparently prove that recorded content is “real and actually happened at a specific location, time and via a specific device and camera.”.

A similar concept is being explored by certain organizations documenting war crimes so as to prove the veracity of the evidence in international courts

cool idea, but do you need nfts or a blockchain for this? just signing every photo should be enough

Would need to be old school film related in some way (24/36 images per roll). Problem with modern cameras is people safety the hell out of everything and end up with hundreds of bad images instead of a few solid good ones. Technique is max zero now :(

Would work on tezos where transactions on the network cost 16 cents.
