Very sad to see the low-circulating-supply token launch pioneered by SBF & co become the exclusive standard across the crypto industry with no resistance. Is there a single major token from the last few years launch with more than 5%-15% supply? I understand the limitations of new projects, but this is extreme

Seems like there is some sense in keeping some “dry powder” in the form of token allocation at least until the market picks up. What supply range do you think would be appropriate for a project that hasn’t completed a full cycle yet?

you prob wont consider it a major project, but unibot and the tg bots tokens mostly 90%+ circ. at launch

/quilibrium's launch is a pure fair launch play. no allocations, no dev team or VC token reserves. What you get is what your node is earning. A return to ethics. 🫡

It really is super sad. They are doing a disservice for us and themselves.

Matic was a nice exception to the rule, but yes.. recently every token launches with a low float.

This is similar to the technique represented by XRP, where a large number of issued tokens can make the price per token look like a bargain.

I’d like to understand this better. I’ve viewed it as being more long term oriented to distribute a token slowly
