Is this a hot take or does everyone secretly agree:

I think crypto will ultimately power the future of traditional finance in a more efficient way but with similar regulations. 

I’m less optimistic that it will act as a decentralized alternative at scale.

This is a great take. I agree 100%. But I do often see the sentiment that it’s all or nothing. That any centralization is a failure.

Don’t need the decentralised alternative to be at scale for it to fulfill its function. We just need an out, in case that’s needed.

If tradfi works well enough for people to not want to migrate to decentralised alternatives, that’s fine.

I really hope we still have to option to be our on banks. It really brings me to ease knowing that if something happens, I can leave my country with my funds safely stored in a cold wallet until I get my situation figured out in my next setting.

I think traditional finance adoption at scale has an obvious advantage of large numbers whereas decentralized coordination relies on necessity and ideology.

how hot is your take that coordination will not outpace subordination, in this framing?
