didnt feel right, love the self-publishing game use to work in corporate world, hate meetings and committees I think publishing will change, I want optionality on my work I didnt think the economics were that good (for example, they only aoffered 70k for the pathless path. I've made over 100k from it since that offer). If i sold the same number of books I wouldnt even have "earned out" the 70k yet Their ideas were not inspiring ("well send ebooks to bloggers" - yes, really)

Thanks for responding! Sounds like you made the right choice, and congratulations on your success. Do you have any idea of what you might have spent on marketing and editing the book, including cover design, if anything at all? I know from experience that self publishing isn't just writing and throwing the book up on Amazon for sale, so how happy are you to take on management of those additional tasks, and do you feel as though they eat a lot into your writing time, or are you happy to do take responsibility for them yourself?
