Those of you running VC backed startups with young kids, what is the secret? Full time caregiving spouse? Army of helpers (cleaner, nanny etc)?

I can’t outwork you - I’m proud to be a family man

But I will take the excruciating time to build conviction, go all in on a non-consensus bet, deal with boring non-sexy work, and operate on a longer time horizon than you can

I think outworking the competition, esp in crowded markets on the same trend, is one approach to building. just think that approach to building doesn’t work for me now

Yeah definitely on the latter, since work is one of many sources of validation

yeah generally agree w both of these. I think you generally ~need more wisdom / better decision making to make up for lack of time

having a family can probably(?) make you more comfortable taking non-consensus bets as well, since you have plenty of meaning outside of external-work-validation
