I'm playing with some design ideas around this for how to structure things, and maybe even architect physical environments that optimize for it.  But not if it's just a toy.

but understandably if you're buying it for the sake of having just a big monitor, buy a big monitor instead – the integration with macs is basically just that, and the tradeoff of the weight on your face isn't worth it.

if you're buying it with the purpose of actually building things for it, this is the ideal time – the market is nascent, the tech will continue to get lighter and cheaper, and much like the early days of mobile, the early victors will get most of the spoils. consider my interest in the AVP a part of act ii of Q
