America feels overheated Not only from an economic standpoint, but as a body politic It’s been relentless change since 2016 at a minimum, and the people are tired It may be a golden era for the country from a business climate perspective, but if that doesn’t translate to letting ordinary people rest, it’s a superficial win

sometime last year, i was on the bus to the airport, sitting in rush hour traffic on the freeway, and it looked like treadmills being sped up faster and faster, and more people falling off, ending up on the street, because they cannot run that fast, maybe they could at one time, but now they have a cramp and there's no safety net for someone running on a treadmill with a cramp, and the treadmills are sucking energy out of the runners and sending it to share holders, and if you can't get off the treadmill because then you're on the street. it made me think, when everyone has fallen off the treadmill, then what? and, the treadmills don't go anywhere, they just keep people running in place, trying not to fall off.
