This might sound like a bad take, but I think the best managers or economist are gang leaders. Funny thing is that they don't even graduate business schools but able to run million-dollar empires. Take Pablo Escobar, for example: he was making about $420 million a week and was worth $25 billion, making him one of the richest men ever. He was so rich that he once offered to pay off his country's debt, and on a cold night, he burned $2 million just to keep his daughter warm lol.

Not paying taxes, employee benefits, insurance, etc can really really add up.

Taxes are paid in form of bribery. Employee benefits come in different forms, like luxury gifts, and with such high wages, traditional benefits aren't even needed lol.

I know a lot of folks selling magic mushrooms in the US pulling in over $1M a year. But they are technically illegal drug dealers. Easy to make a ton of money selling an illegal product with no overhead that legit businesses incur.

Oh, yeah def! Just to be clear to anyone, I'm not saying people should do illegal business or anything. I shared this story because I found it interesting and I was surprised to learn there is a lot of research and books on these topics.
