This anime is so funny and easy to enjoy! Atashinchi gives a glimpse into the everyday life of a typical family in Japan. The dad is a salaryman, the mom stays at home, and they have two kids. What makes it so relatable and funny is the mom—she’s always cooking up weird combinations like shijimi clam curry and moreee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2tmsnasooo

As I’ve been doing more interviews, I’ve realized my questions and follow-ups weren’t as good as I thought, but I’m slowly getting better. There’s an art to asking the right questions and making things easy for listeners to follow, something I hadn’t really thought about before. I started to reflect on why I love certain podcasts, and when I broke it down, I realized that it’s because the hosts ask such great, thoughtful questions. So for anyone here, how do you improve at asking better, more meaningful questions? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I was this days old when I found that cancer means crab. In ancient Greece, Hippocrates noticed that cancerous tumors had finger-like projections that reminded him of a crab’s legs. Because of this, he named the disease "cancer," after the Greek word for crab. This imagery also inspired the zodiac sign Cancer, which is symbolized by a crab.

Scientists have created a new type of insulin that can automatically turn on and off based on the amount of sugar in the blood. It activates when glucose levels are high and switches off when levels are normal, making it easier to manage blood sugar. @keccers.eth have you seen this? https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-03357-7?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=nature&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1729096135

Since starting my podcast, I've been on a journey filled with plenty of rejections and, sometimes, just being ignored—haha. Surprisingly, it doesn't bother me at all! One of the harder parts has been figuring out how to actually contact people. Many have multiple accounts across different platforms, but most of them don’t seem very functional or active. Anyone experiencing this?

In this newsletter I write briefly of 'Medical Artificial Intelligence in Japan'. A research team from Japan is using AI to detect pancreatic cancer as early as the first stage. This is a huge development, as pancreatic cancer is notoriously hard to diagnose early and is often discovered at stage 4, by which point treatment options are limited.

Yesterday, we had a presentation on Memecoins, and as a grand finale, we had to make one ourselves. The theme was Network School (of course), and let me tell you, creating memes takes a special kind of genius. It’s like an art form, and I’ve just discovered that my work is… well, pretty lame. But hey, here’s my masterpiece—don’t laugh (or do) hehe! https://pump.fun/F2XKXxTGrH3bL8rkzvSqqhCUw8QqBQTEroAoJ7qipump

I listened to a show this morning and one of the questions was about the best place to live, or smth along those lines. As someone who has lived in Albania, Oxford, Boston, Miami, and now Tokyo, I have some thoughts to share. The decision about where to live can either make or break your life. If you're an ambitious person, you should choose cities that are equally ambitious. These days, people often move for tax reasons, but when you're young, taxes are the last thing on your mind. You're more focused on chasing a dream or achieving a goal. Paul Graham’s essay on this topic is definitely worth reading: https://paulgraham.com/cities.html

Next time thinking well before joining a 'companio', ask yourself can you share bread with them? I come from business family traditions and values, so my roles models always came from small business. The work doesn't feel like work exactly, we yell and love strongly and ofcourse share bread and cheese with my family back in Albania but in Japan sharing onigiri 😁

I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who supported to interview the Japanese nurse climber of 14 peaks. Unfortunately, the crowdfunding campaign didn’t succeed, so please withdraw the funds: https://crowdfi.withfabric.xyz/campaign/support-the-interview-with-the-first-asian-woman-to-summit-14-peaks-4pj1aq7bo2yo I believe there are a few reasons for this: first, I didn’t promote it consistently enough. Second, the cause didn’t resonate strongly enough with a wider audience. Nonetheless, I truly appreciate all of your support 💜 🙇‍♀️ ! Next steps : Already contacted Watanabe san and now waiting her reply🤞 .

I’ve listened to the podcast so many times while editing, and it never gets old. Each time I replay it, I discover something new and insightful in what you’ve shared—it’s like uncovering another layer of wisdom with every listen. Thank you very much 🙇‍♀️ !
