I wish they were more important. The team has said that channels aren't a priority, for now at least

I think they mean any further updates aka decentralization are on hold while they work on growth. They also aren’t charging us to renew them. I don’t think they are going away though. It’s not how I’m interpreting it.

The changes made me think much differently about them. Some of my channels are just topics and some are communities. I think there is room for both.

Literally created my channel a couple weeks before this shift. But nothing's going to be popping until we 10x the number of people on here
