Yes. I really like them. I’ve had to think very differently about them over the last year but I still think they will be the winner eventually.

I completely agree. Channels set FC apart from other socials. They're are clubs for me where you can cast about something you have in common with other people in that club.

while building SassyHash 💅I chose to leverage channels for READ permissions. On Warpcast, they're a container for WRITE permissions.

Actually, the last few changes killed channels on Farcaster.

Channels used to be distribution for newcomers, but now there is not much reason to post inside a channel.

I hope a safe and easy on ramp for new folks to find their tribe here. If you are well connected to Farcaster people, you will do fine. But if you stumble in here alone, you’ll probably get a spam label your first week and churn because you are invisible.

I think they mean any further updates aka decentralization are on hold while they work on growth. They also aren’t charging us to renew them. I don’t think they are going away though. It’s not how I’m interpreting it.

I wish they were more important. The team has said that channels aren't a priority, for now at least

Totally agree with you. The channels help you give you visibility, it is also easier to find your circle, your tastes and connect. I think I've never made a cast on my own feed
