The problem with making art is that art is a reflection of yourself. Art is the essence of who you are. And sometimes when you outgrow a phase, your artistic representation of it, fills you with shame. You want to destroy it. Because now it’s saying you’re not good enough.

Empathy really blurs the line between understanding and indulgence. This is why I treat empathy as neutral, just like intelligence. Sometimes it is sufficient, sometimes it just doesn’t cut it. Both are cognitive processes; one is simply interrelational and the other is analytical. Both can be and are often applied wrongly.

Everything is defined simply because humans wanted to define them, as shortcuts. But some people never seem to think that our systems of classifications are inadequate and often inaccurate. It’s one thing to understand semantics intellectually, it’s another to understand meaning.

When I entered this space two months ago, to be honest, I didn’t know what I was doing, and I didn’t really feel like I fit in. However, with the help of my friends,@kingace, @biguzzi, and @zeuzc I found where I was meant to be. Thank you guys for the support and encouragement—I’m truly grateful.
