LIBRARY ANGELS πŸ‘Ό πŸ“š TIL Arthur Koestler coined this term β€” 'library angel'. The library angel visits you by providing you with the book you need exactly when you need it most. They are in charge of "providing cross-references". Library angels are those absent presences that somehow make the right books fall into our hands.

In my current D&D game we have tiny fairy like library angel who helps us find books in a magical library. I had no idea this was a real thing. My DM is so layered.

Yes! It's from Koestler's book ROOTS OF COINCIDENCE "In his book The Roots of Coincidence he claims that such phenomena can never be explained by theoretical physics. According to Koestler, distinct types of coincidence could be classified, such as β€œthe library angel”, in which information (typically in libraries) becomes accessible through serendipity, chance or coincidence, rather than through the use of a catalogue search." https://epages.wordpress.com/2020/06/30/arthur-koestler-when-synchronicity-goes-bad/
