Noboribetsu Onsen is the northernmost large scale Onsen resort in Japan. It’s famous not only for its abundance hot springs, but also because it has nine different types of Onsen water! As of this trip, I’ve bathed in all 9! It took me 1 public bath and 3 hotels to accomplish this! The town is protected by great demons. Legend says they live in Hell’s Valley, which is the source for all the hot spring water in the town!

Sounds like an amazing experience! Bathing in all nine onsen waters must have been so refreshing. Can’t wait to hear more about your trip!

It’s the best. I feel like a noodle. Soft boiled and wiggly all over. I hope I sleep great tonight.
