Impressive af. 100 $degen. Q: Are those lifting shoes, and what's your general take on footwear? I currently do this type of thing with bare feet, because my feet are quite flat anyway...

Thanks Phoenix! No, these are not my lifting shoes. I use TYRs weightligting shoes for when I do purely olympic lifting sessions. This was a crossfit class so I wore my RADs incase I needed to do more dynamic movements like plyometrics. Although If I had checked the workout before leaving home, I would have worn my lifters as the workout was mainly just squats. Okay so I think the barefoot shoe thing has become a bit of a hype. Don't get me wrong I grew up doing muay thai and currently still yoga (both bare footed movements), but they were designed for this. Different training shoes were invented to allow us to do more workload.. so if you want to train the intrinsic muscles of your feet I would say do some specific exercises with your feet like heel raised close stance split squats or toe exercises. I use my Vivos for my bodybuilding sessions and exercises like deadlifts for the stability but you don't have to do EVERYTHING in barefoot shoes.
