This is a good decision. Preferenxe falsification is a big problem in society and we need to see people's honest views. It would be really cool if Farcaster follows it, by implementing ZK likes. Can probably borrow technology from zupoll.

My bet is that most if not nearly-all users on Farcaster want other users to see when they like their casts.

As I understand the feature, it's about hiding the ability to see what a given account liked. Rather than hiding likes. 

You'd still get the validation of many hearts under your tweets/casts. Just no stalking someone.
