Mobile wallets have terrible UX. That's one problem. But more importantly, do they not have terrible security too? It seems like a huge downgrade from hardware wallets. What am I missing? (I hope the answer is not "passkey wallets" because that seems even worse.)

I think most people don't care about this (or just don't understand the risks) as i never seen it mentioned at all on here, especially with so much contract stuff done through frames now (warpcast use is predominantly mobile, i believe). It's the first thing i think about whenever doing anything with crypto.

Yes, it seems odd. I'm always left wondering if I have a giant blind spot - because traditionally the messaging is "NEVER USE HOT WALLETS, WOW YOU'RE CRAZY IF YOU DO SO" - but then people also assert Solana UX is better, but the only platform where Solana UX is better is mobile. Makes you think.

Yeah I'm not convinced! I actually don't use a hot wallet at all (either mobile or desktop) which slows down things and limits me a bit, but keeps me feeling much more secure. Plus my eyesight is too shit (and my screen is too cracked) for doing any finance stuff on mobile at all. 😂
