free web3 startup idea: let me easily write an encrypted note with each Metamask transaction. Trying to go back during tax season and remember why I sent 0.0069 eth to some random wallet is a nightmare.

in fact, an user metadata chain will be useful for such thing. where you could dump all the public or private signed msg from user

the note does not have to be stored on chained right? could just store locally as a reference

Unless it was saved in your wallet, there’d need to be a separate service to accept these notes, but also you’d need a separate key to do the encryption.

paging @cassie - would be curious to hear if you have any thoughts on the easiest way to pull this off (for somebody with 0 cryptography experience) Message + private key signature = hash then later the same key + hash reveals the message. Idk if it’s feasible but seems like a fun eth denver hackathon project
