I agree, but isnโ€™t um the cat already out of the bag? As someone relatively new to crypto culture, it feels like everything is shoved under โ€œpermissionlessโ€ principles including not asking for user consent. I forgot who here made this quip with a lot of truth in itโ€ฆthat itโ€™s not really about ownership with crypto as much as that is touted, but more like itโ€™s easier to share with traceabilityโ€ฆand the more we talk about ownership as culture the more we are actually in denial about what is happening. Thoughts?

agreed, there used to be a popular app in Jan 2016 called "Stolen" that let you buy and trade twitter profiles like pokemon cards, eventually got taken down from the app store within a month https://www.theverge.com/2016/1/14/10773026/stolen-twitter-game-pulled-from-app-store

What does this mean the recent equivalents like /scoop ? Will this case set precedent? Opt-in participation only sounds like a safer model if you want to explore that space.

Do you think this somehow fits in the same ballpark discussion as what happened in Hollywood with the generative AI strike?
