I got my first job in tech with just side projects & without a degree 

If I had to do it again I’d go straight into crypto 

Tech is moving to smaller and more senior teams, and that’s a good thing for young people.

I wish I had paid attention to crypto while at uni... it would have saved me from applying to thousands of jobs only to be told no, no, no, no! Until I ventured into building my own startup, and right after that, discovered Bitcoin.

What are you saying, that we can all be earning through $degen tips and sporadic airdrops?

I mean I seen young folks get a pretty good start in crypto with just grants from contribution 

then move towards colabs/projects/startups

You said you didn't have technical background when you started in tech, and would instead start in crypto if you had had the chance. What would anyone without any technical background in crypto be able to build and get a grant for?

I've been coding on and off most of my life (for hobby projects), but I was scratching my head when frames just came out and was not able to launch the simplest frame even with chatgpt's help. And you're saying people should be launching smart contracts (=manage money) with one month's worth of coding experience?

Learning to code and build especially with AI is pretty easy nowadays. Might need a few weeks to a month to understand smart contracts

On top of my head there was the deploy on degen grant last week, optimism builder grant, Farcaster has open source grants, etc
