I’ve been reading about trauma lately, speaking as a basically low/no-trauma person (afaik) and one of my conclusions is that the majority of the world is low-grade trauma-driven and it manifests as being in war mode by default, peace mode by exception. Guess I’m rather lucky in having the reverse orientation.

Proposed mechanism: host ideology/egregore explains all problems as caused by rival ideology/egregore. Toxic shame (mostly from childhood trauma) is temporarily alleviated. When certain words/situations are encountered...
