May have finally found a new strand of cultural DNA? Therapy as a dominant narrative explaining characters' lives + surreal/absurdity to create distance (like 3rd wall, but stronger because 3rd wall commenter narratives usually sensible if peculiar). I.e. metafiction + therapy. See Ted Lasso, Shrinking @vgr
