Sometimes I have an incredible connection with the people I photograph Everything about him is always fresh in my memory and I never forget it Maryam is one of them... Even though I am far from where Maryam lives, I wanted to visit her. Maryam is 89 years old and has an incredible memory. I had printed a photo of the two of us to give as a gift, but I was very afraid that I would not find her when I went because she was so old. When we went to the village where she lives, I was so happy to see her and she said to me "I remember you, red-haired girl"... We sat and chatted a bit, drank tea... and I took her photo again... When it was time to leave, she said to me "Maybe you won't find me when you come again, send the photos you took to my grandchildren". I hope to see you again, Meryem.
