There’s a lot of hype around mini apps on fc. I get it interactive posts, on-chain actions, seamless UX. But here’s my honest take: most of it feels like devs building for other devs. Mint this, stake that, tip here, vote there. Mini apps could be powerful but not in the way we’re seeing now. Where they actually make sense? Places like Kenya or Tanzania, where tools like M-Pesa already serve millions. Mini apps there could be a game-changer for: • Mobile money integrations • Education language learning • Healthcare • Identity & verification services • Farmer tools, weather updates, local marketplaces In those contexts, lightweight apps aren’t gimmicks they’re bridges. But on Farcaster, it feels like we’re building toys inside an echo chamber. Slapping a Coinbase Wallet on a meme post won’t onboard millions or fix crypto’s UX issues. IMO That doesn’t mean the experiment is worthless exploration is part of innovation.

Just some thoughts on $DEGEN: I genuinely think it was one of the greatest meme tokens ever not because of price action, but because of how it worked. It was fun. It was about tipping, rewarding good vibes, and building community in real time. That simplicity made it powerful. But somewhere along the way, it got over-complicated. All the talk of “it has to be an L3” and the shift toward staking, farming, and added mechanics started to dilute the original magic. The point wasn’t to build another DeFi product it was to make tipping part of the culture. Yes, there were issues like farming and bots but those are solvable without changing the soul of the token. What killed the momentum wasn’t the loss of utility, but the loss of simplicity. People weren’t asking for staking dashboards or gas optimization they just wanted to tip someone for a good post. When something works, sometimes the best thing you can do is not mess with it too much. Oh well.

Coin everything the DUMBEST IDEA. At this point, people have run out of ideas for max extraction. So here’s mine: Don’t even reply to me unless you pay me in my warp wallet. Maybe then I’ll consider responding since apparently, everything is for money now. No soul, no story just mint, farm, dump, repeat. FC needs to do better. Allowing this kind of shenanigans memecoin pumps disguised as “community innovation” isn’t building anything real. We came here for open expression and creative freedom. Not endless extraction and influencer fake dev entrepreneur pump games. Moxie Jason, zora Jacob.

The Zora Saga: A Quick Reality Check I’m not here to hate, just to point out a few uncomfortable truths. Zora started as an NFT platform. Minting was cheap, the vibe was creative, and it felt like a win for artists. But behind the hype, things weren’t as fair as they seemed. “Free” mints always came with a fee. Some of us spent thousands collecting. I remember when Jacob was minting his horse art those sold like crazy, and I don’t doubt he made a fortune. Then, sometime last year, a portion of those collected fees was redistributed but only to a select few. No transparency, no open distribution. Fast forward: Zora launches its own chain, pushes projects like $ENJOY (and another I can’t even remember), which quickly went to zero. Now? They’ve turned Zora into a memecoin printer. the $ZORA airdrop? After all the minting I did, I got about $20. Twenty dollars. This feels like max extraction with minimal reward for the community that built the hype. GM GM

I haven’t even tried to understand the new leaderboard or tipping system not because I’m against rewards, but because I know myself: leaderboards always lead to awkward behavior. That’s just how humans respond to being ranked. Maybe it’s improved, maybe the payout system is fairer but the outcome is always the same. People at the top aren’t there by coincidence. There’s a certain shaping of behavior that happens, whether intentional or not. Personally, I’m not interested in optimizing for a system that subtly trains us how to perform. I think we underestimate how much that changes why we post, how we show up, and eventually who we become online.

As you said Back then!!! What most people don’t realize is we’re the guinea pigs. Every cast, every like, every leaderboard climb it’s not just participation. It’s data. It’s training material. And for what? A few dollars? A bit of visibility? We’re helping shape systems that will one day shape us and most don’t even see it happening. That’s what worries me. Not the leaderboard itself, but how easily we accept being measured, how willingly we train algorithms that may one day decide what’s worthy, what’s real, what gets seen. It feels harmless now. But we’re laying the foundations for something much bigger. And we need to ask are we building something that empowers us, or something that quietly rewrites what it means to be human?
