Unfortunately this is the case a lot of the time. People claim to want original stories but at the end of the day are more than happy to not bother touching the remote when Netflix rolls the next episode of whatever slop.

Personally I actually think the consumers are less to blame than the producers. We see the same parallel in residential development. Cookie cutter garbage. But the developer will tell youβ¦it sells so clearly they like it. The problem is they have little to no alternativeβ¦
