This stuff is so cool to me in the headlines…. implementations always seem to fall short Wish it was clearer how this money was allocated, from selecting hubs on down In what world does NY or IL need these dollars lol

NY and IL are big places full of rural areas and rust belt cities past their primes…

but those states also have huge metropolitan city centers that attract some of the best opportunities in the world AND there’s states like WV that did not get awarded that have nothing, not even the city center

Huh? a) This doesn’t give any funding to NYC or Chicago. NY is getting 1 Tech Hub for battery tech in Binghamton and 1 for semiconductors in Buffalo. IL is getting 1 for biotech in Urbana-Champaign. b) WV is getting a grant for materials production. Grant is a stepping stone to Tech Hub, which are more developed.

Huh yourself! Where do you even see all this? WV not listed in this AP article I grabbed the screenshot from. Program is opaque and unclear, which is my broader point https://apnews.com/article/biden-raimondo-tech-hubs-innovation-jobs-205ef4710451f2d37595739056c648ae#

Program is super transparent. You’re criticizing the White House for AP’s editorial decisions? https://www.eda.gov/funding/programs/regional-technology-and-innovation-hubs

Okay, we got a rude one, lol. I’m happy to say that I misunderstood who was awarded, but you’re not the type of person I want to give any more of my time to in discussion. Have a nice day 😊
