I think Nouns’ media production investments/grants surpassed the threshold where now it’s time to normalize independent audits for media channels in a similar capacity critical code is audited.

We audit code but never audit the impact of code eg was it worth the funding. We have more tech debt than media debt. At least with media, even if we don’t see immediate impact there’s content that still lives & can be repurposed. With tech that’s no longer being used, most is just waste.

auditing code and auditing software are two separate audits. tbf most of the content that’s being produced with large budget can’t be repurposed.

100% agree it’s way easier to reuse code than media

Except most won’t get reused because it’s made for nouns and just we just discard it. So much of that.

I’ve personally looked through many nounish repos on GitHub to learn more about nouns and familiarize myself with code. Even if it’s not directly used it’s still useful. Can’t really say the same for media, at least personally. I think I tend to have a tech view though

I think the opposite is likely for most. But great to hear that the GitHub was interesting
