I think Nouns’ media production investments/grants surpassed the threshold where now it’s time to normalize independent audits for media channels in a similar capacity critical code is audited.

love to see artwork coming through @drewcoffman.eth! can you and the team disclose how you're reallocating the budgets from prop 450? you requested funds to buy a very specific business which seems to be off the table. are you considering returning the funds since the prop technically can't be executed and return with a new prop to acquire a different business?

there were some comments in yesterday's /nouncil call, that Nouns DAO doesn't want rev-share inflow from funded proposals. I don't think this is entirely accurate. One very important, if not the most important contribution of revenue generating proposals is the active participation in the biggest inflow stream: the daily auctions. daily auctions > SC rev splits > manual rev splits

what's happening behind the scenes since /goodbutter launched: I switched from my typical service provider mindset and the consultation I've been doing for free for the last +2years to doing it myself paired with a show&telling approach. I hope this helps more

An addition to my last cast about not supporting pure "onboarding" props. There's two approaches for acquisition marketing - push or pull. "Onboarding" props mainly try to funnel folks into the ecosystem, that's push. It's uncomfortable and doesn't allow for a self induced discovery process. It's a mainly a very salesy predefined process. It worked (very) well for about a decade and is generally closely connected to "performance marketing". And then there's pull. Picture a magnet. The perfect example from ETHDenver, when @0xsatori and his crew pulled up with Kendamas. They started doing their thing and at first people were just orbiting around them, observing, led by genuine curiosity. Some stepped up so close to Satori, that the dialogue happened organically. And then more joined in. And more. What happened here is that they created a pull by offering interesting "substance" in the widest sense. No funnel. Just fun. Things people like to do every day, forever. By adding substance, we create legacy.

curious how others see this... to me all principals Nouns is built upon are fully encompassed by the "abundance mindset". It also means that we have time to get this right.

As long as I have a vote, I'll vote against props with the main objective in "onboarding" and "onboarding masses". The flywheel of this experiment only works with self sustaining momentum when we collectively stop externalizing and start leaning into what we have, and further cultivate that. for us > onboarding more I acknowledge that there is a sense of prestige and the idea of legacy to ship a prop that "will (finally) onboard masses". However I highly doubt that this is what we collectively really want. In the words of Seth Godin, we ultimately want more people who like things we like and do the things we do. And to achieve that it means to cultivate, celebrate and cherish what we have and who we have amongst us - do more of the all the things we like and the things we do. Funnier, better, nicer, weirder, ... more for us. "For us" also means "for people like us". Eventually people like us will discover us, because: People like us enjoy the same places and cherish the same things. This is Nouns.

not everything is dysfunctional in corporate world. e.g. looking at how large brands have self sufficient business units that function in isolation have their place in under the same brand roof, leveraging synergies across the orgs is something worth studying.

butter.wtf started as a project name +9 months ago, when I worked on a concept that I presented to potential partners. Little did I know that the project name would actually be the store that I launched. But we're over here iterating ⌐◨-◨ when butter flies, we'll see more 🦋s - and the full effect of it.
