Sharing an idea I had a while ago since we're seriously talking about $nouns: You can decompose a noun into a fungible token (w/ gov rights) and an NFT (similar image, no gov rights). A combined noun can potentially have some extra benefit/rights. Good idea or more complexity than it's worth?

maybe share a bit on what you thought might be the desired use case of such decomposition?

I thought it was an elegant substitute for fractionalization back when that was seriously being discussed (and nouns cost about 15x more πŸ˜… ). Maybe some people really care about the art and others really care about governance. No real strong feelings on it, this was mostly a shower thought.

gotcha. my gut is that the desire for the erc20 is less to to separate the gov power part out to a separate token but rather for the noun as a whole to be divisible in a canonical way. so that you can give it out via @rounds or save up to a nouns by buying it in your wallet of choice over time etc

separating gov power, or even allowing the erc20 to vote, seems antithetical to nouns imo just to mention one aspect, it seems pretty clear to me that nouns relatively high standard in governance compared to erc20-governed daos is a direct side-effect of this
