a personal attack from an anon account is attacking someone who can't strike back extremely uncourageous and lame in the same category as hitting someone who's defenseless I'm very supportive of all the anon projects in general but to be interesting they need credibility (otherwise it's just 4chan on Farcaster which isn't going to be interesting to most people) and to credibility they can't be used for cowardly purposes if you are using anonymity to critique you should be more gracious not less given you've opted to take your skin out of the game

I don’t get this gate keeping behavior. If there’s truth to the critique, why does it matter if it’s an anon or known person… I’m not privy to the drama behind this whole convo, but ‘bravery in criticizing’ seems like dismissing the feedback, just because someone doesn’t want to become the center of potential retaliation. What’s the drama about?

Ok, I’ve done some catching up. I’ve noticed that some people become really verbally abusive, racial, aggressive once they’re anon. That’s not cool, and should just not get attention. For real fair feedback, it shouldn’t matter if the giver is anon. If there’s substance to the content of the message. But just puking violent abusive garbage should somehow be ‘ignored by consensus’.

right putting these kind of things on a shared account degrades its usefulness because it causes people to tune out tbh the critiques that spurred this weren't even that bad, they could've been posted on a non shared account and it wouldn't have been a big deal
