Not sure about other airports, but in the domestic terminal in Cape Town you most certainly can, as well as get a manicure if you please.

Piggybacking on this one to ask why airport coffee is so universally shitty. Surely major airports are high-traffic enough to support at least one decent third wave place.

Would also need a shower at the airport. Can’t get a haircut without a shower right after😖

Scissors. Everyone knows they’re a key tool in the hijacker’s arsenal. Especially the tiny nail scissors.

Airport profitability maximization is all about profit per limited sq ft Gates & Parking are high profitability Shops need to do massive turnover to deliver profits, pay high rent Hard to make economics work for haircuts vs. fast food and on-the-go shops, i don't think the salon owner could afford the rent

Have worked with a few airport owners and it's amazing the reality distortion field they live in. A belief they are the destination, not a means to an end. Can understand why from a traditional revenue stream perspective — but a missed opportunity to innovate

Pretty sure I've seen barbers before. If not, maybe it's a weird licensure thing? Like a carry over from the old-world restrictions on barbering. Might be totally off base here. It's such a good idea there must be an equally bad idea stopping it, right?
