Obsidian

Ok, I finally caved and downloaded Obsidian and used it to write my last Orbiter blog post. It’s really freaking good. I held out so long because people over complicated their descriptions of what it is and what it does.

What you’ve said is what I consider a characteristic of a great tool; it does very simple things well but also tackles complexity with equal quality!

FWIW, I had built my own tool I've always used. But The frontmatter editor and image handling became problematic which is why I decided to try Obsidian.

At this point, I can say there’s nothing you haven’t built/tried to build. 

Now that you’ve tried obsidian, what’s next for Static?

I’ll probably open source it and make it free. I have a web version (only works in Chrome because of file system access) as well that I will likely update and make free
