Ok, I finally caved and downloaded Obsidian and used it to write my last Orbiter blog post. It’s really freaking good. I held out so long because people over complicated their descriptions of what it is and what it does.

Yusss It really can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be. My use is definitely simpler than most people.

That’s awesome! I’ve been using it for years and love it. The best part is it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be! I use mine for my digital garden, newsletters, and organizing my ideas. I have a playlist of videos that explain different features if you’re interested: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWhMzDKA7vJ7p50vW-oeZgKR2aDReZFW6&si=ZDz45-bbk1Fl9_fD

Welcome to the good side. What you’ve said is what I consider a characteristic of a great tool; it does very simple things well but also tackles complexity with equal quality!

The best part is that you can sync your mobile and desktop with a NAS. They have a paid solution, but you can also do it and take notes anywhere. Try their web clipper extension. It allows you to save text directly into your vault and create a graph of connected knowledge.
