A rough part about nomading is that, to make friends in new *cities*, drinking is often necessarily involved and as I get older I have less interest in alcohol

I'm looking forward to being in some place with a bit more outdoor space next month because it allows for healthier activities to make friends

ahahah i love it. i don't like sugary drinks and i "non alcoholic" stuff ends up being a lot of syrup. sometimes I'll get just sparkling water with lemon and do this. but it's nice to be on the same level as everybody else

Usually I just hold one drink for the entire night that *looks* alcoholic and people become too smashed to notice that I’m not drinking 🤣

Feels like the past year or two, at least some north american cities have gotten very non-alcoholic-friendly. Last few events I went, they had lots of great NA cocktails and I wasn't the only one who wasn't into alcohol! The tide is slowly turning.

I also am way less interested in drinking but wine tastings can be a good option. One glass of red wine and some socializing.
