Influencers have started posting about their daily lives in the new Saudi city of Neom. 

The Saudis seem to be marketing Neom as some kind of planned suburb/encampment for wealthy Westerners:

It looks like a deserted barracks where you eat in a cafeteria. This is the living quarters for people working there (I know many). It’s extremely unappealing and most people who work there just leave their families in dubai and visit on the weekends. 

The pay is amazing of course but productivity is minimal due to poor project management. 

If you have a shit passport though (like South Africa) might as well use it as a visa bridge I suppose? 

This will never appeal to Americans.
