There have been several attempts at making custom feeds a thing in the FC ecosystem. One challenge is that most people just want a sensible default and don't want to tinker with settings. Another challenge is that you'd need to build a full app to be able to test out your feeds. I think there is room to build an extension of FC to support custom feeds in a decentralized way. Other apps could use it but maybe they could be "integrated" with Warpcast via mini apps and discoverable via Explore. If there is demand from both devs and users for this and it gets traction. I'm sure we can figure out how to help distribute through Warpcast. Likely as mini-apps initially. (just thinking out loud, no promises šŸ˜…)

pressing on a channel, profile or searching is choosing a custom feed, and users do that daily. I agree the interface for custom feeds is not a setting somewhere hidden, as these settings have no distribution. But giving users more control and choice is a good thing, and a strong counter position to web2. Feeds should be discoverable organically and first class citizens

Completely agree! Giving users more control over their feeds is a huge step toward decentralization and user empowerment. Web3ā€™s focus on customization and transparency is exactly the counterbalance needed to the centralized nature of Web2." Let me know if you'd like a different tone or perspective!
