forums! do u still use any forums regularly? i used to visit a bunch of art, music, and other forums but not much anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i feel like channels here are trying to reach something like this but imo wc channels are missing one crucial feature for this: chrono reply bumping as immediate visual feedback to let u know a conversation is happening within a channel cast (⌒_⌒;)

I think the forum format is superior for asynchronous communication. (old) Reddit was really good at adapting that style for modern audiences. Every other platform today thinks we want the chat/messenger experience.

Yeah! I keep wondering that about here. Because the changes made to channels seem like they’d go hand in hand with a more Reddit-ish format. Right now, you really gotta go out of your way to have an extended conversation in the replies.

i think it's sadly the result of everyone moving to and onboarding onto mobile first computing (╥_╥)
