How do other parents talk to their kids about Santa? We decided not to say for sure he exists/doesn’t, but instead just say “what do you think?” and encourage the kids to imagine possible ways he could exist or not. Curious how others approach this.

That is sort of the logic behind the “what do you think” - Santa is basically a kids religion

Yes. And has the added bonus of getting all the disillusionment overwith all at once when they figure out none of this stuff is real. Saves them a crisis later in life.

But also, whether it is real or not isn’t exactly the point Ultimately you believe as a kid because you want to believe and because it brings you joy
