How do other parents talk to their kids about Santa?

We decided not to say for sure he exists/doesn’t, but instead just say “what do you think?” and encourage the kids to imagine possible ways he could exist or not. 

Curious how others approach this.

Yes. And has the added bonus of getting all the disillusionment overwith all at once when they figure out none of this stuff is real. Saves them a crisis later in life.

That is sort of the logic behind the “what do you think” - Santa is basically a kids religion
