As a Genesis staker, definitely.

My thought process is that in 2024 there are now a huge amount of more rational options in terms of yield and simplicity.

You’re essentially taking on additional effort just to know you’re helping diversification of validators.

This seems something the protocol needs to address.

it's still very much rational for me. it's money that i would be holding in ETH anyway for price exposure to the asset and I might as well put it to work while it's in ETH

I’ll keep mine running, but as a new entrant in 2024 it feels like there would be little value to going down this path compared to alternatives.

Hard to justify if you didn't have a lot of validators :/

You will be rewarded ~3.000$/year/validator.
You need to take into account your time, your electricity, your internet connection, your hardware cost and the capital cost.

I will personally shutdown my validator in a few weeks.

Still rational, but only when you take into account potential future airdrops.
