Does staking from home make sense in 2024 as a rational action? Or is it more just a noble thing that enthusiasts can do for the network?

it's still very much rational for me. it's money that i would be holding in ETH anyway for price exposure to the asset and I might as well put it to work while it's in ETH

As a Genesis staker, definitely. My thought process is that in 2024 there are now a huge amount of more rational options in terms of yield and simplicity. You’re essentially taking on additional effort just to know you’re helping diversification of validators. This seems something the protocol needs to address.
