The new battle mechanics have not quite played out like I was expecting. The problem being that knowing the total number of villagers defending takes out the strategy of raiding and you can pretty easily win even though you don't know if those villagers are defending wood or food. The limitation being that the blockchain needs to know where villagers are at and the logic can be onchain so that number has to be public. Will be reworking this over the coming days. Maybe even revert back to the previous battle system in the mean time. I have a couple of ideas to pursue but If you have any, feel free to reply with them! The goal I'm shooting for is having your village economy be connected to what you can do in battles. The fire must continue on! 🔥

I think maybe we revert back to old system while reworking the new idea. I find that the new one is kinda hard to manage in terms of timing to reassign villagers. Keep the fire on 🔥

If villagers cannot be hidden, maybe adding a new resource would help in making it harder to guess the defenders and win. Also, even better: what about using villagers to convert them into "warriors", like training them, and those can defend/attack and would be hidden for the enemy? Or use resources to build warriors.

i asked AI and the option I like the most was ‘recon’ - offense chooses amount of villagers to attack & can use some to scout (scouts can be 3 hour cooldown) & get a range of insights into the defense & set attackers accordingly. the defense has 15 minutes to adjust (stokefire alert), and hope for the best
