My last stop on my long Asian trip is Seoul. It was a carefully planned strategic decision to finally go shopping and return home with a suitcase full of skincare products.

I'm thinking of trying something simple, like a laser treatment - mostly for the experience. But in general, I am a bit skeptical about facial treatments. For something noticeable like lifting, I am probably too young, and most facials don't seem to have lasting effects. So usually I like to invest in at-home devices or skincare products. I'm still researching the must-buy items, but can share my findings later!

Here’s what I did for skincare in Korea: Clinics: I didn’t plan anything serious -just wanted to try something without walking around with a red face. I did a Pico Laser session for skin tone. Ideally, you need at least 2 sessions, but I had one and still saw improvement in my problem area. They suggested a stronger version, but I chose the lighter one. I also tried Botox for the first time - it's super affordable in Korea compared to Germany, where I live. There are lots of clinics. Ones for foreigners are pricier, while local ones can be tricky to book without a Korean number. I found one that took bookings via Insta, though they warned English-speaking staff might not be available. Most clinics offer 1st time discounts for popular treatments. The whole process was very fast, each step done by a different person. This felt very optimized for volume. Price-wise, I paid about $30 for laser (with discount); the same in Berlin would cost $100–300. Wish I had booked 2 sessions with a week in between!
