🌹 Here are some facts about roses: 🌹 🌹 Roses have been around for over 35 million years. During the excavation of fossils in Colorado, scientists have found the oldest rose. 🌹 In Germany, the oldest rose in the world grows near the cathedral in Hildesheim. Its age is about a thousand years old, and the shoots reach the roof of the building. 🌹 In the 15th century, England was experiencing the "War of the Roses". The Scarlet Rose — Lancasters, and the White Rose — Yorks took part in it. 🌹 The rose is one of the three flowers mentioned in the Bible. The other two are lily and camphor. 🌹 For many years, experts have been trying to bring out roses of exotic colors — black and blue. In 2004, the world saw the first blue rose. 🌹 The very first rose that went into space was called "Night Fragrance". The pun in the name is due to the fact that the researchers took it into orbit to find out how low gravity affects the flavor.
