Corps Flower (Amorphophallus titanum) 🌹 

The corps flower is famous for its huge size and unpleasant odor, which resembles rotting meat. It grows in Indonesia and is one of the largest flowers in the world. The height of the flower can reach up to 3 meters, and the diameter is up to 1 meter. However, the corps flower blooms for only a few days every few years, which makes it even more rare and unique. 

Due to the low population density, Amorphophallus has to rely on the efficient dissemination of its scent so that pollinators can find it. To do this, the huge inflorescence emits a large amount of heat, and on the first night after its opening, the temperature reaches 36 ° C. This heat is the result of cellular respiration and causes cooler air to move in convection currents over the cob. These air currents transport aromatic molecules over long distances.
