the protocol wants to compete and win at the client level.

clients want to win and avoid being dependent on the protocol.

all roads lead to winner take all.

super bullish on the superteam forming around farcaster.

but seems like this proved to be true? change my mind, pls.

Perhaps it will be winner take all or duopoly temporarily (Warpcast and CB), but if the network grows enough, there then becomes incentive for talented and well capitalized teams to compete. 

If twitter or Facebook suddenly transitioned to a sufficiently decentralized network, Facebook and X might be remain dominant clients for a while, but it would allow others to carve out growing segments of the network with more opinionated clients.

But I see what you are saying. It would feel better if 3 or 4 clients were doing well.
