Not really? Coinbase Wallet is literally building a Farcaster client.

only it's not about clients anymore, it's about a focused effort to grow farcaster in the time of emerging ai and crypto optimism

like dan said recently, every time new tech emerged - a new kind of social emerged with it

Perhaps it will be winner take all or duopoly temporarily (Warpcast and CB), but if the network grows enough, there then becomes incentive for talented and well capitalized teams to compete. 

If twitter or Facebook suddenly transitioned to a sufficiently decentralized network, Facebook and X might be remain dominant clients for a while, but it would allow others to carve out growing segments of the network with more opinionated clients.

But I see what you are saying. It would feel better if 3 or 4 clients were doing well.
